Etitology : Distemper virus
Route of Trans: Dog to Dog, Nasal secretions - aerosol
Clinical Signs: Upper Respritory, Coughing, Vomiting, Diarrhea, Neurological symptoms( seizures and ataxia)
Treatment: None, Supportive Care only
Prevention: Vaccination (highly effective) and isolation
Extra Facts: Can make dogs have extremely hard pads, there is no test that correctly diagnoses Distemper. |
