Perceptual field is greatly reduced. Pt may focus on 1 particular detail, or many scattered details, and have difficulty noticing what is going on in the environment, even when pointed out by another. learning and problem solving are NOT possible.
S&S: Somatic symptoms (headache, nausea, dizziness, insomnia), trembling, pounding heart, hyperventilation, a sense of impending doom or dread.
