| Middle Adulthood is a time when individuals become more conscious of the young-old polarity in life and the shrinking amount of time left in their lives. And it is a time wen individuals seek to transmit something meaningful to the next generation. The concept of midlife crisis has been exaggerated; when people do experience this crisis, it often is linked to negative life events. Stability of personality peaks in middle adulthood, and marital satisfaction often increases at this time.
