Definition

Impact: The news can publish classified classified as long it does not present a "grave and irreparable" danger to the safety of the US.

Definition

Issue: Charles Schenck produced materials against the draft during WWI.

Impact: It is illegal to express the freedom of speech against the draft during a war.

Issue: Clarence Brandenburg was arrested for a speech against blacks and Jews.

Impact: Inflammatory speech is constitutional as long as it does not incite acts of violence.

Impact: The Fourteenth Amendment prohibited states from infringing free speech.
