Ugar was nervous the TX would use the cannon against General Cos (Santa Anna's brother-in-law) and decided to take back the cannon. *Andrew Ponton, alcaled burred the cannon to hide it. *18 town's men prepared to fight by removing the boats on the GR. *Captured the MX patrol, but one escaped and went to San Antinio. *Ugar sent 100 troops but didnt want to fight. *140 TX dug up the cannon, crossed the river (at night), and fired upon Caspantda in the morning...with the cannon that Caspantda was sent to retreve. *MX retreated... |
