- Adequate nutrition is not possible by dietary adjustment or oral supplementation
- If feeding pump requested, evidence that gravity feeding is inappropriate or that jejunostomy feeds are required

GRVs should be checked every 4 to 8 hours as the rate of infusion is advanced for continuous feeds, and before each bolus for bolus feeds. |
