The indirect object is the person who receives the direct object or the person who benefits from the action of the verb. Use the preposition a before an indirect object.

An indirect object pronoun stands for an indirect object noun. It can take the place of the indirect object noun or be used together with it.

The verbs saber and conocer both mean to know. They have irregular yo forms in the present tense. Use saber to say that you know a fact or piece of information. Use saber followed by an infinitive to say you know how to do something.
