Definition

Sweatshops are work places that entail labor-intensive work as well as offer very low wages for it’s workers. The environment of a sweatshop can be very hazardous, dangerous and surround the workers with unhealthy conditions.

Definition

Overurbanization is when the population in the cities grow too quickly leaving a lack of essential resources to the urban population. The population in the urban cities grow so quickly that it is hard to provide support services such as housing, and water supply to the people living in these cities.

Culture is not innate or something we individually have. 

Culture is a learned act by people who share beliefs and customs. Culture differentiate groups from one another. Culture allows people to have a distinct way of life.

Cultural landscapes provide a sense of value and identity to the people and their land. The landscape also shows evidence of how humans have used their natural resources in their land over time.

Definition

Cultural imperialism is an attempt to replace an old cultural system with a new one. Such as the implantation of a new language, school system or bureaucracy. Historically this has ben primarily associated with European colonism.

The periphery are the countries that do not gain any benefits of global wealth and globalization.
