Renin-angiostensin-aldosterone pathway: dehydration or Na deficiency causes a descrease in blood volume, decrease in blood pressure which stimlates kidneys to produce renin which converts angiotensinogen made from the liver to angiotensin I, this stimulates ACE to conver AI into AII, AII stimulates adrenal cortex to secrete aldosterone which causes kidneys to take in Na and water |
