The Social Credit party gave out social credits of $25/month to each adult to spend on goods. These credits were called 'funny money' because they were worthless because they were declared illegal.

The province of Alberta. One of their solutions was to give out $25 social credits to all adults to spend on goods.

A tariff is a tax on imported products.

Significance: One of the 6 main causes of the Great Depression. Countries placed tariffs on imported goods to protect their own industries from foreign competition.
