A personal defense weapon may be drawn from its holster, or a long gun loaded with lethal munitions shouldered for firing (in preparation for firing), only if: (1) deadly force is authorized: or (2) there is a reasonable possibility that the use of deadly force may be required. Simply drawing a weapon does not alone constitute a use of force, and may be considered officer presence. |
