Term
How does malnutrition effect GH?
Definition
Increased levels of blood glucose or aminos, as it occurs in malnutrition, stimulates the pituitary to stimulate the secretion of GH, thereby restoring lost tissue proteins |
Term
Negative Feedback control of GH |
Definition
Somatomedin production inhibit GH production by;
1)direct action on AP
2) secretion of somatostatin from hypothalamus
3)GHRH from hypo. inhibits its own secretion |
