Agranulocytes
Morophology: small, medium, large cells usually with a round nucleus and small amount of cytoplasm in the smaller cells.
Two types
T- cell : Very long lived cell 4 years
B-cell: live few hours to 3-4 days
Function
- T-cells : attach to invaders agents (antigens) and destorys them (kills virus)
- produces Immunoglobulins : antibodies
- B-Cells : synthesis (produce) of antibody against specific antigen
- provides defense against infection
- Memory cells : reproduce cells to kill antigen when they come again
- An increase number of lymphs is a indication of a viral infection.
