b. Should not be cracked or leak any grease or oil

Air line from brake chamber to frame should be:

a. Securely mounted by its fasteners on both ends

b. The hose should not be swollen, cut or leaking

The brake chamber should be:

a. Securely mounted, no loose or missing nuts or bolts

b. The clamps should have no shiny spots or any indication of looseness

c. It should not be cracked, dented, corroded or leaking

Slack adjuster:

a. The push rod should have no more than 1 inch play when unapplied and should set at about 90 degrees when it is applied

b. It should have its cotter pins, securely mounted and be well greased
