Contains a predonderance of scores on the low (high) end of the scale. The mean will be higher (lower) than the medium in a positively (negatively) skewed distribution. |

The probablity of concluding that a difference exists when in fact the difference does not exist. A statistically significant difference is a difference not likely due to chance. By consensus, this is something that would only show up =<5% of the time. Smaller p-value = more significant results. |
