Nov. 27th American commanders at pearl harbor naval base recieved a war notice from Wachington but hawaii wasnt mentioned as a possible target. It was far away from china so U.S. doubted any type of attacks. Japans suprise attack damaged 21 ships, 188 airplanes, and killed 2,403 Americans. Another 1,178 were injured. |

The relationships between the U.S and Japan werent good. First, The U.S refered to the japanese as Japs as a form of mockery. We had a lot of conflicts with Jap. because they were communists and we were democratic. We realy got involved in WWII with Jap. after their attack on pearl harbor. |

All African American Airman fighter group pilots. 1st African Americans to qualify as military pilots in any branch of the armed forces. By the end of WWII almost 1000 African American had won their wings at tuskegee army air field. Flew more than 15000 sorties destroyed over 1000 german aircraft, recieved hundreds of air metals and more than 150 flying crosses. |

U.S. navy defeated an imperial Japanese navy attack against Midway Atoll. Inflicted a lot of damage on Japanese. Japan was hoping to eliminate a big preventer from ending the pacific war which was the hinderance cause by the U.S. Japan wanted to end the pacific war on conditions favorable to themselves. |
