| Nov. 27th American commanders at pearl harbor naval base recieved a war notice from Wachington but hawaii wasnt mentioned as a possible target. It was far away from china so U.S. doubted any type of attacks. Japans suprise attack damaged 21 ships, 188 airplanes, and killed 2,403 Americans. Another 1,178 were injured. |

| All African American Airman fighter group pilots. 1st African Americans to qualify as military pilots in any branch of the armed forces. By the end of WWII almost 1000 African American had won their wings at tuskegee army air field. Flew more than 15000 sorties destroyed over 1000 german aircraft, recieved hundreds of air metals and more than 150 flying crosses. |
