French and Indian War: why it started |
|
Definition
This war took place mainly over land. The colonists had been spreading out all over North America, stealing land from the indians in the process. The French then came to the Americas and began building forts in Virginia. These felt like boundaries so the colonists built Fort Nessecity, lead by George washington. the french attacked their fort, tearing it down, thus the war began. Most indians sided with the frech, simply because the french had not been bothering them and the amerians had been stealing their land and food. |
