Peter and the Apostles
Definition
Peter argues with Mary and is in dispute over the right of divine presence within a female, including the Virgin Mary herself. Dispute between Peter and Mary goes hand in hand with the dissent of female within Christianity. Split between Gnostic and orthodox religions, Gnostic more accepting while orthodox (formed under the apostles) were more masculine. Exceptions do occur in their works though.

325 – took up the issue of Jesus’ nature. Debated whether Jesus was human or divine. Common debates held that he was both. Settled disputes on what was faith and what was herecy. Ultimately concluded that Gnosticism was herecy.
