The Trusted IP Range is a list of trusted network address ranges that your organization trusts for access to Salesforce.
Users accessing Salesforce via a browser from trusted networks will be allowed access without activating their computer.
Users accessing Salesforce via the API (e.g. Outlook Edition, Office Edition, API integrations) from a outside their trusted network will need to use a combination of their user password and Security Token for authentication. |
